This course is designed to give secretaries a general overview of their roles and responsibilities. During the workshop, the participants will review and discuss which kind of duties they are responsible for and which standards should be achieved in performing a variety of office tasks

Mail Services and Basic Filing System
Handling incoming and outgoing mails, log book and follow up, Filing system and Record Disposal

Module 4 :
Effective Office Communication
Communication process, Barriers to communication, Listening skills

Module 5:
Handling Incoming and Outgoing Calls
Telephone communication, Screening and holding the line, Preparing a call

Module 6:
Managing Time and Performance Tasks
Why is Time Management Important?, Time Robbers, Goal Setting, Daily Planning Principals, Setting Priorities, To Do List

Module 7:
Meeting and Travel Arrangements
Complete meeting service, Arranging informal meetings and lunches, Meeting documents, Travel arrangements, Travel documents, Prepare The Itinerary, Checklists

Module 8:
Personal Presentation
Grooming, Professional dress, Body language and etiquette

As well as providing a theoretical grounding, the workshop will also give the participants the opportunity to utilize and practice their developing skills and competencies through activities and discussions.
