Course Objectives:
After attending this course occupational health physician or senior paramedics will have improve comprehension on the fitness for the job determination and the process of its certification based on the current country’s regulations as well as best practices.

Course Guidelines:

  • To discuss the role of site medics in the process of medical evaluation;
  • To discuss administrative aspects of fitness certification accoarding to the current regulations and best practices;
  • To describe medical aspects of specific conditions with regard to fitness determinations, and
  • To discuss fitness determination for specific groups of interest: respirator users, food handlers, and transportation workers.
