In the modern environment, a very competent secretary is required by the company as it grows and the complexity of a dynamic business. Therefore, the ability of the secretary needs to be improved constantly so they are able to answer every challenge in the modern work environment.
Now the job role of a secretary is a bit different from the 5 to 10 years ago. A variety of new technologies, rapid organizational growth, and global business environment will be new challenges that need to be managed by a secretary. Being a secretary for 26 years, starting the career from Assistant to the Executive Secretary and holding position of Executive Secretary and Administrative Assistant for 21 years in various multi-national companies such as Wardley James Capel (currently HSBC Security), Borobudur Inter-Continental Hotel, Freeport Indonesia/Freeport McMoran, Cigna Insurance and Grand Hyatt Jakarta working for the top manager of the Companies. In addition, prior to enter the above mentioned profit companies Becky has spent the first 5 years of her career in well-known International Non-Profit Organization such as World Vision International, Harvard Institute for International Development, a Consultant to the Minister of Finance from Harvard Kennedy School and the World Bank.
