INTRODUCTION :
The implementation of energy conservation technique in a company or industry hasn’t been certainly results a significant operation cost saving. It is usually determined by the ratio of investment cost to the cost gained due to saving of energy consumption. How to know the value of ratio, off course, it firstly has to conduct initial study and measurement. Pre-measurement and post- measurement of energy conservation implementation is well known as “Energy Audit”.

TRAINING INSTRUCTOR
DR. Ir. Halim Abdurachim graduated from Mechanical Engineering ITB. In 1980 he received his Docteur D’Etat es Science from Universite de Perpignan, France in the field of energy conservation, heat transfer and thermodynamic. He also deepened and sharpened his expertise in advanced renewable energy resource for 2 years in 1982 at ACTIM – France and Trieste- Italy. He have been giving for more than 15 years both public and in-house course to TotalFinaElf, Pertamina, PT. Pupuk Sriwijaya, PT. PENI/BP Petrochemical, PT. Pupuk Kaltim, PT. Badak NGL for the subject of heat exchanger, piping system, energy conservation techniques, energy audit, thermal isolation techniques, pump and compressor, air conditioning system, and industrial process facility. He currently is senior consultant for oil & gas , and process industry as well as senior lecturer at Mechanical Engineering ITB.

PENDAHULUAN :
Tidak semua hal bisa dilakukan manusia dengan nilai yang efektif, efisien, dan aman. Oleh karena itu, penggunaan dan penguasaan bidang mekatronika adalah sebuah keniscayaan. Perkembangan industri (industri power plant, industri otomotif, industri farmasi, industri permesinan untuk proses otomasi, atau industri-industri yang menghendaki tenaga perawatan alat-alat produksinya atau bahkan industri jasa/servis peralatan mekanis/otomatis) menuntut tersedianya sumber daya manusia yang menguasai teknologi otomatisasi alias robotic system atau mechatronic.

Mobil ada mekanik, pesawat, kipas angin, AC, dsb., semua ada kemampuan otomatisnya. Teknologi tersebut merupakan pengembangan teknologi yang terintegrasi meliputi Medical Technology, CNC Technology dan Renewable Energy yaitu yang disebut dengan Teknik Mekatronika. Mekatronika, singkatan dari mekanik dan elektronika, suatu bidang khusus yang membahas mengenai otomasi, kini kian dibutuhkan. Namun dalam perkembangannya mempunyai cakupan yang lebih luas yaitu, suatu bidang yang mengintegrasikan teknik mesin, elektronika, perangkat keras dan perangkat lunak komputer, komunikasi, ilmu bahan, mikroelektronika, juga kecerdasan buatan.

Untuk mendukung sistem produksi yang memadai diperlukan tenaga kerja yang handal atau peningkatan keahlian tenaga kerja profesi Mekatronika. Training ini didesain untuk menjembatani kebutuhan perusahaan untuk mencapai kebutuhan pemenuhan tenaga kerja yang memahami mekatronika dengan baik.

TRAINING DURATION

TRAINING INTRODUCTION :
Reliability, availability and maintainability (RAM) is one of the most current maintenance program used in oil and gas industry at design (FEED) stage or in operation stage. The reliability data, in terms of MTTF, MTBF will be evaluated for each individual equipment and system. The reliability of the system is determined using a reliability block diagram by considering serial or parallel arrangement of the equipment that construct the system (e.g. gas process plant). Maintainability is defined, and assumptions are made according to data history of similar equipment/system or engineering judgment. Sensitivity analysis is also performed for various cases of MTTR including logistical support for parts and materials to evaluate which factors become the major contributors to the maintainability and availability. For RAM modeling, various foreseeable scenarios, including the effect of logistic time delay, can also be developed. The major cause for unreliability and unavailability related to down time will be discussed, and the necessary steps to avoid that condition will be recommended. In this training, the OREDA (2004), BS 5760 and ISO 14224 as primary RAM sources will be consulted.

TRAINING MATERIAL OUTLINE :

  1. Defining the system by utilize the PFDs, P&IDs and equipment lists
  2. Obtaining necessary failure rate data and repair from reliable resources, e.g. OREDA and in accordance with the industry standard ISO 14224
  3. Determine individual equipment reliability
  4. Determining the MTTR
    Calculating reliability and availability of the system (plant level)
  5. Performing sensitivity modeling for various cases of MTTR including logistic supports for parts and materials.
  6. Outlining the major causes of non-availability and production inefficiency and propose improvements to the equipment/systems maintenance programs where appropriate

TRAINING BENEFIT :
RAM analysis will benefit the maintenance engineers to manage both rotating and  static equipments and their asset in more quantitative manner using proper statistics data generated from historic or well known reliability data based. Unavailability of the equipments and plants can therefore be numerically predicted and so plant downtime can be more managed.

TRAINING INSTRUCTOR
Dr.Ahmad Taufik,M.Eng. is Risk and Integrity Specialist, and  Chairman for Indonesian Society for Reliability (ISR). He got his doctorate program from Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, USA (1996). He is now also a lecturer at Graduate Study Program at Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) teaching for risk and integrity assessment related courses. He has been interacting with oil and gas companies for more than 10 years for training, consultant and project implementation. This much experiences in oil and gas industries will be shared by him in training class. Dr. Ahmad Taufik has much work experiences joining in some institution such as at Lloyd’s Register as Operation Manager, at PT. MMS, PT. Surveyor Indonesia and PT. Ir. Endra Joelianto, Ph.D. is an expert in control engineering and industrial automation. His outstanding research is: Hybrid Control Systems, Discrete Event Control Systems, Petri Nets Analysis and Application on PLC, Robust and Advanced PID Controller and its implementation on PLC, DCS, Fieldbus, Industrial automation and Advanced Control System Designs. He received first degree (Ir.) in Engineering Physics in 1990 from Department of Engineering Physics, ITB and Doctor of Philosofy (PhD.) in Control Engineering in 2001 from Department of Engineering, The Australian National University, Canberra, Australia.  He is Head of Intelligent Control and Automation Laboratory and Coordinator of PLC Research Group for research and training, Engineering Physics Study Program and Instrumentation and Control Research Division, Institut Teknologi Bandung.

He was Director of Schneider-OMRON PLC Training Center, Maranatha Christian University, Bandung.  He has attended several professional training on PLC, DCS and Instruments Callibration, such as: Yokogawa DCS, Bandung (2000), Implementation of Indonesian National Standard (SNI) 19-17025 and Basic Calibration, Yokogawa Electric Corporation, Bandung (2001), Fieldbus Foundation Technology, Singapore (2002), Basic and Advanced PLC Telemecanique-TWIDO, Bandung (2003), Basic and Advanced PLC OMRON, Jakarta (2004), Cleaner Production Application in Industries (Bandung 2005), Effective Energy Systems for Sustainable Development (Thailand 2006), Programming and Networking PLC Mitsubishi (2006), InTouch Wonderware, Wonderware Historian and Information Server (Bandung, 2012). He also has hosted Workshop on Industrial Automation (Bandung, 2002) and (Bandung, 2003), Workshop on Application of PLC in Industrial Automation (Bandung, 2003), National Workshop on Instrumentation & Control (2011) and many professional trainings on PLC, DCS, SCADA, Human Machine Interface and Industrial Process Control and Automation in Bandung.

He was the project leader of Department of National Education TPSDP Retooling Program Batch II on Industrial Automation using PLC (2004). He is the chairman of National Student Competition on PLC Programming held regularly since 2007 in ITB. In this workshop, we will explore engineering and management strategies that help you in reducing  musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs).  Our overall goal is to create greater understanding of the importance of basic ergonomics principles and how to successfully design and implement an effective ergonomics program.  This workshop is designed to include you as much as possible in the learning experience.  The more you contribute, the more you will get out of this training, so please don’t hold back. . .

Bambang Pamudji, B.Sc.,SE. has much real experiences, he is former Senior Health and Safety staff at PT. Pupuk Sriwidjaja,PUSRI(Urea Fertilizer Manufacturer) Palembang. He was born in Pasuruan East Java, 14 March 1950. He got his B.Sc in Public Health from APK Surabaya in 1971 and was graduated from Economic Management Sriwidjaja University, UNSRI, Palembang in 1996. He has certificates in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) from Depnakertrans RI/Institutions and Universities in Indonesia, institutions and Universities in UK, and National Safety Council. Experienced in setting up Health and Safety Management System documentation and its application. Experienced internal lead auditor SMK3 in PT. Pupuk Sriwidjaja, and External lead auditor SMK3 for Indonesian Association Fertilizer Producer. He has been teaching industrial training classes for many classes related to topics of his competencies, HSE. Many participants from many companies in Indonesia have participated in his training classes.

This training explores boiler components and their purpose. Additionally, the course explains the ISA symbols used in boiler control, how to identify the engineering and control of boilers using ISA symbols, and a method of presenting the engineering design. This training covers topics including defining the control, three elements control design and operation, ratio control fundamentals, feed forward control, feed forward plus feedback control, cascade control, and how they are implemented in distributed control systems (DCS). This training also review control concepts, proportional control, proportional plus reset control, and proportional plus reset plus derivative control; what they are; and how they are used. This training also will introduce the implementation of Model Predictive Control in industrial power plant.

Dr. Ade Haryanto, Ph.D. received the B.S. in Engineering Physics and M.S. degree in Instrumentation and Control from Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) in 2003 and 2006, respectively, and Doctor Degree (Dr.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Intelligent Control and Automation in 2010 and 2013, respectively, from School of Mechanical Engineering, Pusan National University, Busan, South Korea. His research focus is including modeling, identification, dynamics system, instrumentation and control of the power plant and its implementation using distributed control system. As a professional instructor, he has trained various topics in the scope of process control, automation, and metering systems, which were aimed to participants coming from industrial practitioners such as PT. Pupuk Kaltim, PT. Badak NGL, PT. Pertamina, PT. Indonesia Power, PT PLN, PT. Pupuk Iskandar Muda, etc. In the project implementation areas, the instructor also experience in project documentation, control system migration and power plant design.

TUJUAN :
Setelah pelatihan peserta diharapkan dapat memahami system pengkondisian udara pada kendaraan otomotif, dapat mengoprasikan, merawat dan memecahkan masalah-masalah AC, serta dapat memperbaiki system AC yang ramah lingkungan.

CAKUPAN MATERI TRAINING:

  1. Pendahuluan (Review perpindahan panas, pengaturan/control refrigerant, mekanisme pengikisan lapisan ozone, teori penipisan ozone).
  2. Teori Dasar Sistem AC Mobil ( Instalasi mekanik AC, Listrik dasar AC).
  3. Penggantian Refrigerant Baru (berbagai jenis refrigerant baru, nama-nama refrigerant, penamaan/tata nama refrigerant, refrigerant pengganti, efek rumah kaca).
  4. Modifikasi dari sistim AC lama ke system AC baru (Sistem AC R12 ke R134a)
    • Oli Kompresor
    • Bahan penyekat (seals)
    • Hose-hose tekanan tinggi dan rendah.
    • Desiccant
    • Pencegahan terhadap salah pengisian & penyambungan pipa (perubahan katup, bentuk sambungan, pemasangan vacuum pump adapter, perubahan detector kebocoran gas).
    • Menjaga pelepasan refrigerant ke udara.
    • Penyesuaian system.
  5. Peralatan system AC R134a/Perubahan komponen
    • Kompresor
    • Magnetic Cluth
    • Condenser
    • Evaporator
    • Receiver
    • Pressure Switch
    • Expansion Valve
    • Evaporator Pressure Regulator
  6. Hal-hal/ tindakan yang perlu diperhatikan saat perbaikan
    • Pertukaran antar perangkat AC
    • Kasus kesalahan pemakaian
    • Saat penggantian spare part
  7. Hal-hal yang perlu diperhatikan ketika mengisi refrigerant
    • Menghubungkan manifold gaunge
    • Menyambung disconnect Adapter
    • Melepas kembali Quick Disconnect Adapter
  8. Perawatan AC Mobil (Shedule maintenance, Preventive maintenance, Predictive maintenance).
  9. Troubleshooting AC mobil (saat memeriksa jumlah pengisian refrigerant, mengatasi kesulitan pada kondisi normal, refrigerant tidak cukup, aliran refrigerant tersumbat/ sulit bersirkulasi, adanya uap air pada system sirkulasi, udara masuk dalam sirkulasi , katup ekspansi terlalu membuka).
  10. Alat peraga : ( Board simulator AC mobil, alat ukur system Refrigerasi dan pengkondisian udara, alat alat peraga system pendingin).

Ir. M. Munir Fahmi, Dipl.ME, MT. got his master degree from Brawijaya University Malang majoring in Energy Conversion. He is till now becoming lecturer at mechanical engineering Poltek ITB (Polban) and he is head of laboratory of fluid, thermal and otomotive.
