TRAINING  OBJECTIVES:
The function of a pressure safety valve is to protect pressure vessels, piping systems, exchanger, boiler and other equipment from pressures exceeding their design pressure by more that a fixed predetermined amount. The permissible amount of overpressure is covered by various codes and is a function of the type of equipment and the conditions causing the overpressure. Failure of safety valve can cause cathastropic accident. Periodically inspection, testing and repair is one of the most important element that the safety valve work properly.This course explains how safety valve and relief functions and how to maintains and ensure long life operation.

PENDAHULUAN:
Kompresor merupakan salah satu peralatan penting dalam industri, jika dilihat fungsinya yang paling sederhana dalam industri kompresor berfungsi untuk membersihkan komponen dengan tiupan udara bersih dan kering, dalam hal ini tentu saja kompresor udara. Dalam industri kimia dan gas serta industri perminyakan, kompresor dapat berfungsi lebih luas lagi, misalnya sebagai pemindah, pengirim bahan-bahan bersifat gas. Lebih luas lagi juga dapat berfungsi sebagai fluid power dalam system kontrol pneumatic. Dengan power yang konstan kompresor dapat menghasilkan tekanan sekaligus juga aliran gas atau udara, yang proporsional artinya bila diinginkan aliran besar maka tentu saja tekanannya akan turun, demikian juga sebaliknya. Tentu saja banyak factor yang saling mempengaruhi misalnya temperatur lingkungan, temperatur gas atau udara yang dikompres (dimampatkan). Dalam hal inilah, dalam training ini akan dibahas tentang apa itu kompresor, bagaimana cara kerjanya, mengoperasikanya, memeliharanya, merawatnya, dan lebih penting lagi instalasinya dengan system perpipaan.

INTRODUCTION :
To fulfill the oil and gas demand for power generation, recovery processes, and other uses, pipelines are utilized to transport the supply from their source.  These pipelines are mostly buried and operate without disturbing normal pursuits.

Construction procedures for most pipeline systems can be adapted to consider specific environmental conditions and are tailored to cause minimal impact on the environment.

Unattended pumping stations move large volumes of oil and petroleum products under high pressure.  Many factors have to be considered in the engineering and design of long-distance pipelines, including the nature and volume of fluid to be transported, the length of pipeline, the types of terrain traversed and the environmental constraints.  Major factor influencing pipeline system design are: Fluid properties, design condition, supply and demand magnitude/location, Code and standards, Route, topography and access, environmental impact, economic, hydrological impact, seismic and volcanic impacts.

To obtain optimum results for a pipeline transmission system, complex economic and engineering studies are necessary to decide on the pipeline diameter, material, compression/pumping power requirements and location of the pipeline route.

INTRODUCTION :
This course focuses on corrosion – from either internal or external source – and its potential problem, and the protection methods to stop or control them. Review on corrosion and technique by which it can be identified, monitored and controlled will be given in detail. Active participation is encouraged through case studies and examples especially on the use of painting and coatings, transformer-rectifier of impressed current, magnesium, zinc and alum sacrificial anodes for external protection, and the injection of corrosion inhibitors and biocides for internal corrosion control.

PRE-REQUISITE :
NONE. No previous training in corrosion control is required. However, to gain the most from this course, a basic understanding of physics, chemistry and basic unit operations will be helpful.

  2. Review of metallic materials used in surface production facility and pipelines and the corrosion problem usually happen.
  3. Case studies and examples of oil & gas material failure caused by corrosion from internal and external source.

  5. Internal corrosion of pipeline, vessel and processing equipment caused by sour component, H2S, CO2, organic acid, brine, and the SRB (sulfate reducing bacteria).

  7. External corrosion of topside structure caused by marine atmosphere.
  8. Basic electrochemistry of corrosion process, Ohm’s law and the corrosion rate.
  9. Corrosion control and prevention with painting & coatings and the cathodic protection.
  10. Measurement of corrosion potential and corrosion current.
  11. Protection with sacrificial anode and impressed current.
  12. Understanding NACE Standard RP-01-69 to stop external corrosion attack.
  13. Requirement, design and criteria of cathodic protection.
  14. Sacrificial anode specification, installation and construction.
  15. Testing, monitoring, and inspection of cathodic protection.
  16. Inspection and maintenance of transformer-rectifier and sacrificial anode.

Dr. Ahmad Taufik has much work experiences joining in some institution such as at Lloyd’s Register as Operation Manager, at PT. MMS, PT. Surveyor Indonesia and PT. TRAINING INSTRUCTOR
Paryana Puspaputra was born in Kotabumi on January 19, 1964, is a Lecturer at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Industrial Technology, Indonesia Islamic University – Indonesia. Undergraduate from Department of Mechanical Engineering, Bandung Institute of Technology, Indonesia (ITB) in 1990 and master degree in Mechanical Engineering Department of Nagaoka University of Technology, Japan in 1996. He achieved his doctorate degree in Department of Mechanical Engineering, Bandung Institute of Technology, Indonesia (ITB) in 2012. He is also experienced as consultant and training instructure for several manufacturing and oil company, such as Chevron, Total, KPA, Petrokimia, Semen, Indonesia Power, etc. His background in mechanical equipment and machinery is completed with knowledge in instrumentation technology which was started from his final project in undergraduate by making software and data acquisition for predictive maintenance, and continued with his graduate thesis in control system for nano technology. There are researches and industrial implementation in data acquisition such as building the DNC system for production-shop using CNC machine, developing the balancing machine for Panasia Indosyntex – Bandung, SCADA system Development based on Fuji Electric control system (for IPAL – Pertamina – Cilacap, Toxic Gas Monitoring – Dieng – Central Java, etc). Moreover, he is also an official trainer of softwares for design and manufacturing base on CAD/CAM Technology (AutoCAD, Inventor, and Delcam PowerShape, ArtCAM) and familier with some finite element based analysys softwares such as Moldflow, ANSYS, SAP, CAESAR II, etc.

DESKRIPSI
Dengan makin meningkatnya kebutuhan pemasangan ESP pada sumur – sumur untuk menggantikan Gaslift system, karena makin sedikitnya persediaan gas di lapangan, maka operation personel memerlukan pengetahuan yang jelas tentang aspek-aspek operasi, pemilihan dan troubleshooting ESP.

Pelatihan ini untuk memberi bekal kepada para peserta untuk dapat meningkatkan kemampuan dalam mengoperasikan, perencanaan, dan kontrak ESP agar dapat melaksanakan tugasnya dengan secara maksimal dan efisien.

MATERI:

  1. Dasar-dasar teknik produksi
    Aliran produksi di dalam sumur, productivity index, kemampuan produksi sumur, bubble point pressure, formation volume factor, macam-macam reservoir, problem– problem produksi sumur.
  2. Aliran minyak dari sumur ke separator
    Pengertian tentang head, pressure loss sepanjang aliran, hydraulic horse power, total dynamic head, back pressure dan system pressure.
  3. Tentang ESP
    Macam-macam instalasi ESP, peralatan bawah tanah dan atas tanah, pump curve, type dan series motor, pompa, protector, konstruksi serta cara kerja peralatan , kekuatan dan jenis material.
  4. Design pompa
    Produksi optimum yang diharapkan, Vogel’s curve, pemilihan peralatan bawah tanah dan atas tanah disesuaikan kondisi sumur, masa depan kondisi sumur dan pemilihan ESP nya.

LATAR BELAKANG:
Pipa sebagai cubing panjang dari tanah liat, konkret, loham, kayu, dan sebagainya untuk mengalirkan air, gas, minyak, dan cairan-cairan lain. Fluida merupakan substansi yang dapat mengalirkan cairan atau gas. Hampir setiap tahun diperkenalkan kegunaan baru untuk pipa yang menghasilkan kebutuhan baru dan pengembangan spesifikasi-spesifikasi material dan pengembangan kepintaran disainer perpipaan. Saat ini pipa dapat dicari hampir di setiap tempat, baik perpipaan dalam automobil hingga sistem perpipaan yang rumit (pipa proses, jalur pipa, pipa tenaga uap pabrik atau salah satu dari berbagai kategori lainnya) pada industri rekayasa. Untuk mendukung sistem produksi yang memadai diperlukan tenaga kerja yang handal atau peningkatan keahlian tenaga kerja profesi Perancangan Sistem Perpipaan.

LATAR BELAKANG:
Sistem transportasi saluran pipa liquid atau petroleum yang digunakan termasuk seluruh saluran pipa pembawa minyak mentah (kasar), produk petroleum, dan gas petroleum, terminal-terminal, tempat pembersihan, pabrik gas alam, dan pesanan dan tempat penerimaan. Termasuk juga tempat penampungan fasilitas gas dari petroleum cair pada saluran pipa tertutup, fabrikasi dari pipa dan sambungan, dan penggabungan saluran beberapa fasilitas perpipaan. Pengkodean transporatsi saluran pipa minyak meliputi disain dan pembuatan tekanan vessel, tempat penyimpanan atau tangki-tangki, saluran pipa dengan logam dengan temperatur di atas 250 oF atau di bawah – 20 oF, casing, tubing, pipe used in oil or gas wells, oil gas separtors, crude oil production tanks, saluran pipa pembersihan petroleum, transmisi gas dan pipa distribusi, disain dan fabrikasi peralatan atau instrumen, atau heat exchanger. Untuk mendukung sistem produksi yang memadai diperlukan tenaga kerja yang handal atau peningkatan keahlian tenaga kerja profesi Oil Transportation Piping.

Telah memiliki pengalaman 7 tahun dibidang operasional dan maintenance pompa, 7 tahun di bidang engineering (pumps selection and sizing)  dan 3 tahun di bidang konstruksi (installasi & Commissioning) . Pada tahun 1997 pernah menerima training khusus tentang Steam Turbine di Workshop Siemens, Gorlitz, Germany memberikan dasar  yang kuat untuk mengembangkan pendalamannya di bidang Rotating Mesin termasuk Pompa dan Steam Turbine. Sejak tahun 1998 memberikan inhouse training ke teknisi mekanik , beberapa trainee berhasil menjadi teknisi yang berkualitas internasional dan mengerjakan beberapa pekerjaan perbaikan di luar negeri.

Arif Yudianto berlatar belakang pendidikan Teknik Mesin  dari ITS.
