Tempo Inti Media (majalah dan koran Tempo), Adidas Indonesia, Dirjen Perbendaharaan – Depkeu, PT. Ultrajaya dan lain-lain. Dikenal sebagai ahli bidang sosial khusus untuk Psikologi Kepatuhan, Transisi Kepemimpinan dan Coalition Strategy, Heru juga memiliki spesialisasi di topik-topik: Job Analysis, Job Grading, Job Classification, Job Evaluation, Training Needs Analysis, Training Design, Training Management, Training Evaluation, Training for Trainer, Competency Modelling, Assessment Centre, Talent Management, Balanced Scorecard, Performance Management, Coaching & Counseling dan Situational Leadership.
Saat ini,selain sedang menyelesaikan pendidikan sebagai kandidat Doktoral (S3) di jurusan Sosiologi Universitas Indonesia dan memimpin sebuah konsultan manajemen SDM berafiliasi Internasional, Heru aktif sebagai Ketua BPP HIPMI Kompartemen Business Ethics & GCG, selain dipercaya sebagai Ketua DPP KNPI Bidang Pendidikan Nasional. Telah menulis buku tentang Kepemimpinan Sosial di tahun 2008, Heru belakangan sedang menulis buku tentang prinsip-prinsip psikologi yang mengatur perilaku otomatis manusia dalam konteks pengaruh dan bujukan.
