Basic Scaffolding
TRAINING INTRODUCTION :
This course is designed to provide the student with training in scaffold erection, use and dismantling.
TRAINING OBJECTIVE :
The objective of this course is to enable a student to work safely on construction sites during the use, erection and dismantling of scaffolding.
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Use scaffolding
- Erect and dismantle various types of scaffolding
CAKUPAN MATERI TRAINING :
Session 1 Introductions
Review of the course syllabus including the course objectives Discussion of classroom and outside assignments and shop activities
Unit 1: Introduction to Scaffolding
Lecture and discussion
Session 2 Test – Unit 1
Unit 2: Safely Using Scaffolds
Skills demonstrations and apprentices practice using scaffolding that has been previously erected
Session 3: Unit 2: Safely Using Scaffolds
Skills demonstrations and apprentices practice using scaffolding that has been previously erected
Test – Unit 2
Note: The length of the erecting and dismantling portion of this course will depend on the types of scaffolding being used by the students during the course. If all fours types covered in the manual are to be learned by the students, then more time will need to be added to the course for hands-on skill development.

Unit 4: Erecting and Dismantling Systems-Based Scaffolding Unit 5: Erecting and Dismantling Tube and Coupler Scaffold Systems
Unit 6: Erecting and Dismantling Frame Scaffold Systems
Unit 7: Erecting and Using Suspended Scaffold Systems Skills demonstrations and apprentices practice
Session 5: Skills demonstrations and apprentices practice continue
Test(s) over those units covered during the erecting and dismantling portion of the course
