PENGANTAR:
Walaupun kondisi mesin dapat diketahui dengan berbagai teknik analisis seperti: emisi, akustik, analisis pelumas, analisis partikel, pemantauan korosi, termografi, dan pemantauan performansi, namun analisis vibrasi merupakan kunci untuk melakukan predictive maintenance. Pada dasarnya, semua yang bergerak menghasilkan vibrasi. Mesin-mesin tertentu akan menghasilkan vibrasi yang khas, kondisi tertentu pada mesin akan menghasilkan jejak vibrasi yang khas pula. Analisis vibrasi sangat bermanfaat untuk perawatan mesin-mesin berputar, seperti: turbin uap dan gas, pompa, motor, kompresor, mesin kertas, rolling mill, mesin perkakas dan gearbox. Selain itu, analisis vibrasi juga digunakan untuk melakukan diagnosis kerusakan mesin. Bahkan teknik ini juga bisa digunakan untuk perwatan mesin-mesin reciprocating.

PENDAHULUAN:
Manajemen perawatan yang efektif diperlukan untuk dapan meningkatakan performansi perusahaan, baik dari aspek biaya maupun aspek teknis. Kegiatan ini dimulai sejak merencanakan kebutuhan part sampai dengan mengorganisasikan part yang dibutuhkan. Kebutuhan part dalam kaitan dengn kegiatan maintenance merupakan kebutuhan yang probabilstik mengingat laju kegagalan sebuah mesin tidak dapat diperdiksikan. Oleh karena itu dengan memahami kondisi suatu system, yang dilihat dari laju kerusakannya maka dapat direncanakan kebutuhan akan part sebagai pendukung kegiatan maintenance

Kegagalan dalam merencanakan kebutuhan part berdampak pada ketidakefisienan baik dalam masalah biaya dan penggunaan waktu akibat downtime dari sebuah mesin akibat ketiadaan part yang dibutuhkan. Sehingga perlu manajemen spare part yang dapat memenuhi kebutuhan manajemen yang sesuai dengan karakteristik mesin/ system.

He involves also in various projects in his research group. Mr. Edy Suwondo received his bachelor degree from the Aerospace Engineering ITB and his doctor degree from Aerospace Engineering, Delft University of Technology (TU Delft), The Netherlands. His doctor research was in the applications of Life Cycle Costing in maintenance area

Reliability improvement is the focus in industry today. This is to insure the available of the products/ services which comply the demands. Many programs are designed to improve maintenance and reliability, but, the achieved results are rarely sustaining. This indicates that change is a difficult process and without proper attention to organizational culture, long-term successful change is not possible.

This course defines the culture, especially the organizational cultures. It elaborates the elements of culture, i.e. values, role models, rites and rituals, and cultural infrastructure. Then the discussion on the elements of change are following, i.e. leadership, work process, structure, group learning, technology, communication, interrelationships, and rewards. These two types of elements form a matrix which is the basis of the web of cultural change.

A tool has been developed for assessing the organizational culture with the objective to identify the root causes of the un-sustainability of the maintenance and reliability improvements. Recommendations for correction action can be derived from the results of the assessment.

Pipeline atau perpipaan merupakan salah satu peralatan utama di dalam industri baik industri petrokimia, perminyakan dan gas, pertambangan dan lain-lain. Komponen utama perpipaan adalah  pompa/kompresor dan jaringan pipa, sementara komponen-komponen bantu adalah katub-katub dan strainer (block valve, control valve, strainer, foot valve, dll), fiting (elbow, tee, reducer, inducer, dll) dan berbagai alat bantu lain yang diperlukan. Selain komponen utama dan bantu, perpipaan masih dilengkapi dengan beberapa instrumen misalnya instrumen alat ukur.

Unjuk kerja perpipaan mempunyai pengaruh yang sangat signifikan terhadap unjuk kerja proses. Unjuk kerja perpipaan sangat dipengaruhi oleh proses perencanaan (design), cara mengoperasikan (operation) dan perawatan (maintenance).

Kursus ini membahas dasar-dasar teknik perpipaan baik dari sisi desain, konstruksi dan maintenance.

Pembicara / Fasilitator
Dr. Ir. Edy Suwondo
is a lecturer at the Aerospace Engineering Department, Institute Technology of Bandung (ITB) and a member of the Aircraft Design, Operation and Maintenance Research Group, ITB. He has been working in the area of maintenance since 1992. His expertise is in Reliability Centered Maintenance, Reliability Control Program, Maintenance Planning and Life Cycle Costing. He has conducted various research in those area at GMF AeroAsia, Royal Dutch Airlines (KLM), Nusantara Turbine and Propulsion (PT NTP) and Indonesian Aerospace Company (IAe). He involves also in various projects in his research group. Mr. Edy Suwondo received his bachelor degree from the Aerospace Engineering ITB and his doctor degree from Aerospace Engineering, Delft University of Technology (TU Delft), The Netherlands. His doctor research was in the applications of Life Cycle Costing in maintenance area.

TRAINING INTRODUCTION :
The advancement in technology has tremendously increased the efficiency, product quality and production capacity of production plants to meet the market demands and competitions. However, it also has increased the complexity of the equipments as well as the procedures and efforts to operate and maintain the equipments. Unawareness of this development leads to jeopardizing the increased efficiency and production capacity.

Current maintenance management in Indonesia shows that most of maintenance activities are breakdown repair, which is never efficient. Breakdown repairs also result in a loss of production capacity as well as a long downtime. An effective maintenance Planning and Scheduling will reduce the amount of breakdown repairs and shifting it to a higher proportion of preventive maintenance. Maintenance units without a good planning and scheduling will utilize only about 25% of the available time of the technician, while a good planning and scheduling will double this percentage by eliminating and reducing anticipated delays.

This course explain why and how to achieve the doubling of percentage of “wrench time”, the actual time where technicians conducting maintenance activities. The Planning Principles are the core of the improvement. The Basics of Planning describes the methods to develop a work order, identify the scope of the work, the required skills, parts and tools. Scheduling has also Principles and method that must be followed in order to reach the doubling. Furthermore, performance indicators will be discussed to measure and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of maintenance Planning and Scheduling. This course is closed with the method to manage the budget, resources and to implement predictive maintenance.

Maintenance Manajemen adalah suatu manajemen perawatan mesin yang mengulas tentang tata cara melakukan kegiatan maintenance mesin-mesin dalam suatu pabrik secara simple, terstruktur dan praktis.

Most of plant’s equipments are rotary. Therefore, understanding the principles of rotating equipments is very essential. Identification of failure modes and monitoring methods of failure symptom are important as well, for establishing the most effective maintenance program.

This course begins with discussing the definition of rotating equipments, their types and their primary functions, as well as the general characteristics of rotating equipments in relation with their performance. Then, a detailed discussion on primary rotating equipments, namely pumps, compressors, turbines and fans/blowers, will be given. The discussion includes the classification for each type, the performance characteristics and the frequent failure modes. This course is closed with a procedure to conduct alignment of axles and predictive maintenance for rotating equipments.

PENGANTAR:
Autonomous Maintenance merupakan salah satu pilar dari 8 pilar yang terdapat pada Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). Tujuan utama dari Autonomous Maintenance adalah pendeteksian secara dini ketidaknormalan yang terjadi pada suatu mesin industri sehingga kerusakan mesin dapat dicegah. Mengapa demikian, karena kerusakan mesin bukan terjadi secara tiba-tiba tetapi terjadi secara graduation atau bertahap dari kerusakan kecil-kecil yang bersinergi membentuk kerusakan yang besar dan sampai akhirnya membuat break down mesin. Autonomous Maitenance atau disebut dengan Perawatan Mandiri dirancang untuk melibatkan operator mesin tidak hanya bekerja sebagai operator mesin saja tetapi juga melakukan aktivitas perawatan mesin secara sederhana (cleaning, lubrication, checking, dll). Dengan diterapkannya Autonomous Maintenance maka departemen maintenance dapat lebih fokus dan berkonsentrasi pada masalah preventive maintenance serta peningkatan productivitas mesin dan pengontrolan biaya maintenance. Setelah mengikuti training ini diharapkan operator mesin mempunyai paradigma bahwa kinerja mesin tidak hanya ditentukan oleh departemen maintenance saja tetapi juga ditentukan oleh operator mesin itu sendiri.

Sejak tahun 1999 telah mempelajari dan mengetrapkan Konsep Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) dan Kaizen dalam suatu industri. Kelebihan dan kekurangan dari implementasi TPM dan Kaizen ini telah dikenali dan diketemukan solusinya.

Master di bidang TPM dan Kaizen diperoleh dengan mendapatkan akreditasi International dengan mendapatkan Sertifikat TPM dan Kaizen sampai dengan level Intermediate dari Omron – Jepang.

Project-project yang telah berhasil dijalankan antara lain :

  • 8 group Kaizen dalam rentang tahun 2001 – 2006. Kaizen mampu meningkatkan produktifitas rata-rata 30%.
  • 25 group TPM dalam rentang tahun 2003 – 2006. TPM berhasil menurunkan Break Down Machine rata-rata 25%, bahkan ada yang mencapai 60%.
  • Medali Perak pada ICQCC, suatu konvensi international tentang QCC/SGA.
  • Best Practice Competition yang diselenggarakan Omron Head Quarter di Kyoto-Japan.
