TRAINING INSTRUCTOR
DR. Ir. I Made Astina, M.Eng. is currently assistant professor of mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering ITB. He graduated from Mechanical Engineering Department ITB in 1992. Prior to his Ph.D. obtainment in Engineering (thermodynamics, school of science for open and environmental systems) from Keio University Tokyo, Japan in 2004, he received Master of Science in Engineering (mechanical engineering department) from the same university in 1997. His researches concern on thermodynamic, development of new thermal systems, thermodynamic cycles, air conditioning and refrigeration systems. His papers were published in international and national journals, besides he also presents his papers in international and national seminars. Besides teaching at the university, he also has experiences to give short courses for industrial practical engineers and publics and to collaborate practical consultant works.

He got his B.Sc in Public Health from APK Surabaya in 1971 and was graduated from Economic Management Sriwidjaja University, UNSRI, Palembang in 1996. He has certificates in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) from Depnakertrans RI/Institutions and Universities in Indonesia, institutions and Universities in UK, and National Safety Council. Experienced in setting up Health and Safety Management System documentation and its application. Experienced internal lead auditor SMK3 in PT. Pupuk Sriwidjaja, and External lead auditor SMK3 for Indonesian Association Fertilizer Producer. He has been teaching industrial training classes for many classes related to topics of his competencies, HSE. Instead of senior lecturer at National Hotel Institute, Bandung he actively publishes papers of research in hotel, tourism and restaurant management

Teddy Lukman, S.Sos, was graduated from National Hotel Institute Bandung in 1978. In practical ha had experience as Manager at Ramada Hotel in Frankfurt Germany 1989, and as Manager at Sari Ater Hotel 1986. Currently he is teaching Hotel Management System at National Hotel Institute in Bandung. He is very familiar for the hotel management software like Prolog   Hospitality System, HIS AS-400 IBM, Maxial, MYOH, and Fidelo. Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan pemahaman tentang rancangan (design), dan operasi dari plant pemrosesan minyak dan gas. Pelatihan akan diawali dengan pembahasan mengenai sifat dan karakteristik dari hydrocarbon sebagai komponen utama penyusun minyak dan gas. Selanjutnya akan dilakukan overview terhadap proses atau operasi yang digunakan dalam pengolahan minyak dan gas. Berdasarkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman tentang sifat dan karakteristik minyak/gas dan proses atau operasi yang digunakan dalam pengolahan gas tersebut, maka pembahasan mengenai rancangan (design) dapat dilakukan. Dalam pelatihan ini, selain metode pemaparan, akan banyak dilakukan diskusi dan latihan-latihan perhitungan, sehingga peserta akan lebih banyak aktif. Beberapa software yang diperlukan dalam design juga akan digunakan dalam pelatihan ini, dan peserta diharapkan untuk aktif berlatih. INTRODUCTION AND GOAL :
Electric Installation in Hazardous Area  course gives participnts a trough understanding of selection, installation and maintenance of electrical equipment in Hazardous Areas.  It    covers the principles of Hazardous Area classification, explosion protection techniques, equipment selection, equipment installation requirements, inspections and procedures for breakdowns

TRAINING OBJECTIVE :
At the end of this Course participants will be able to:

  1. Defines the hazard, classifying hazard materials, understanding the nature of the risk and the necessity to eliminate sources of ignition
  2. Defines The relationship between area classification and the various different types of Ex apparatus
  3. Selects the electric equipments for hazaedous Area
  4. Install and maintenance of the different types of equipment i.e. flameproof, increased safety, intrinsic safety etc

  1. Hazardous Area (hazard Potency, Area Classification, Description of Zones, Apparatus Groups and Temperature Classes )
  2. Regulation and Specifications (Regulations concerning electrical installations in explosive atmosphere, Definitions, Potentially explosive atmosphere, electrical apparatus in acetylene plants, IEC works)
  3. Type of Protection (General, opening apparatus, terminals, cable and conduct entries, Oil immersed equipments, Pressurized apparatus, Flameproof enclosure)
  4. Intrinsic safety (General specific constructional requirements, Installation requirements for intrinsically safe circuits, Tests)
  5. Planning, installation and operation of electrical systems in potentially explosive atmospheres (Assessment of possible explosion risk, Planning electrical installations for use in potentially explosive atmosphere, Selection of apparatus, Measuring and control equipment, Lighting systems)
  6. Operation of electrical equipment in potentially explosive atmosphere (General, Operations of electrical equipment, Instruction of persons, Repair of explosion-protected electrical apparatus, Repair work not affecting the explosion protection)
